Overview

Our Certificate IV in Irrigation Management is a nationally accredited course, tailored to deliver a multi-platform learning experience, reflecting the technical, supervisory and operational skills as an Irrigation specialist.

This qualification reflects the technical and supervisory skills and knowledge required to operate as supervisors and specialists within the irrigation industry. It applies to irrigation installation site managers and managers of irrigation systems in the irrigation servicing, horticulture and agriculture industries

Who is the course for?

Certificate IV in Irrigation is designed for candidates with experience in the field of Irrigation, who are looking at progressing their career in to supervision and/or management of irrigation professionals.

How to Study

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Students must have standard Language, Literacy and numeracy skills and will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment at Certificate IV level.

COURSE PROGRAM & DURATION:

  • Block 1: 12 x 4 hour Virtual Classroom Sessions*
  • Block 2 (part 1): 5 days Face-to-Face training
  • Block 2 (part 2): 2 x 4 hour Virtual Classroom Sessions*

*Virtual Classroom Sessions will be delivered in 2 or 3 consecutive sessions per week Virtual Classroom session run either 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM AEST (Brisbane Time). This timetable may change depending on the location of students. Face-to-Face Block training will run from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (local time). This course must be completed within 12 months from enrolment. Students who fail to complete the course within this timeframe and wish to continue will be charged a re-enrolment fee as per Page 15 of the Irrigation Australia Student Handbook V3.0 March 2020.

TO COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE TRAINING YOU NEED ACCESS TO:

  • Zoom – use one of the links above to open the Zoom website. You will be required to download the program and register an Account (you will be required to create an account to access our sessions). This will take you roughly 5 minutes to do.
  • Access to a printer or scanner to submit completed assessments (consider downloading a scanner app on your phone)
  • Web Browser: Windows 7 or above to access webinar technology and latest and previous versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome
  • Webcam and/or headset for joining the virtual classroom
  • Plug-ins: Adobe Flash Player 9 is required
  • Network connection: Minimum 512 kbps connection is required
  • Firewall: If you have a firewall or a domain filtering program, access to the domains listed below needs to be granted

HOW TO ENROL
  • Registration is completed through the respective course date link
  • Complete the Online Enrolment Form
  • Ensure payment is made 14 days prior to course commencement
  • Resources will be posted to the student 2 weeks prior to course commencement

PAYMENT FOR INDIVIDUALS

In accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015, the maximum amount of fees that may be collected in advance is $1,500.This means that if you enrol into a full fee-for-service qualification, you will need to pay by instalments. The first payment may be no more than $1,500 in accordance with the standards. This does not apply to companies or businesses who wish to pay the course fee upfront.
