Overview

Our Certificate III in Irrigation Technology is a nationally accredited qualification, tailored to deliver a multi-platform learning experience, focusing on everything Irrigation. This qualification is considered the starting point or gateway, into the irrigation industry. This course entails everything you need to learn to operate and maintain irrigation systems in a wide range of professional environments.

How to Study

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Students must have standard Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills and will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment at Certificate III level. Students require Basic computer knowledge and skills in order to download course materials and complete online Post-Course Assessments. 

COURSE PROGRAM & DURATION:

  • Introduction: 1 x 2 hour Virtual Classroom Session
  • Block 1: 5 days Face to Face training
  • Block 2: 3 x 4 hour Virtual Classroom Sessions
  • Block 3: 5 days Face to Face training
  • Block 4: 4 or 5 days Face to Face training based on course location as outlined below

Virtual Classroom Sessions will be delivered in 2 consecutive sessions per week and run from 8.30 AM to 12:30 PM AEST (Brisbane Time). This timetable may change depending on the location of students.

Face-to-Face Block training will run from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (local time).

This course must be completed within 24 months from enrolment. Students who fail to complete the course within this timeframe and wish to continue may request an extension as outlined in the Irrigation Australia Student Handbook.

TO COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE TRAINING YOU NEED ACCESS TO:

  • Zoom – We use Zoom for online training. You will be required to download the program and register an Account to access our sessions. More information will be provided on registration
  • Access to a printer or scanner to submit completed assessments (consider downloading a scanner app on your phone)
  • Web Browser: Windows 7 or above to access webinar technology and latest and previous versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome
  • Webcam and/or headset for joining the virtual classroom
  • Network connection: Minimum 512 kbps connection is required
  • Firewall: If you have a firewall or a domain filtering program, access to the domains listed below needs to be granted

  • Ensure payment is made prior to course commencement

PAYMENT FOR INDIVIDUALS: In accordance with the 'Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015', the maximum amount of fees that may be collected in advance is $1,500. This means that if you are an individual enrolling in a course and paying for it yourself you will be invoices in instalments, $1,500 prior to commencement of the course and the balances of the training fees separately after the course commences. This only applies to individuals. Companies and Businesses are required to make Full Payment of training fees prior to commencement of the course. Payment Plan

Option 1 Block by Block: Four equal payments

  • Company Members rate: $2,087.50 per block
  • Individual Members rate: $2,296.25 per block
  • Non-Members rate: $2,525.87 per block

Option 2 Dual Payment*: 50% of the course fee paid prior to Block 1 and the remaining paid prior to Block 3


Government Funding

Eligible students can apply for Government funding to study the nationally accredited qualification - Certificate III in Irrigation Technology AHC32422.
